Course designer Scott Pate, of Seaside Golf Development, has done wonderful work on the new course at Hernando Oaks. The layout wanders through beautiful Florida countryside and was designed with a sense of fairness in mind. The fairways tend to be wide and forgiving, but there's just the right amount of water to keep your attention. Your score will be determined mostly on how well you handle the elevated and undulating greens. You'll find Hernando Oaks about 45 minutes north of Tampa in the town of Brooksville.

The new North course at Lake Jovita is a tremendous compliment to the original South course. This great new track captures the essence of the fabulous South course in every aspect, and even boasts greater elevation changes, divergent of traditional Florida courses. In fact, on a clear day players can see for nearly five miles to the northeast from the second tee! The new North course is perhaps more fashionable, plays a little longer, and is as popular with club members as the South course. For anyone visiting the greater Tampa Bay area there are now two "must plays" in one convenient location!

Ranked #26 on Golfweek's list of "America's Best Modern Courses for 2006," this Tom Fazio design has been receiving accolades since it opened in 1991. Although built right next door, the land occupied by Rolling Oaks provides a stark contrast to that at Pine Barrens. Here you'll find huge oak trees draped with Spanish moss within a landscape reminiscent of Augusta National (including Azaleas!). The course features beautiful rolling fairways and well-defined bunkers with bright white sand. Fazio's mindset must have been completely different when designing both courses, but the end results are nothing less than spectacular. Particularly enjoyable are the great par-three holes at Rolling Oaks.
